THOR provides the US Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) Sensors and Sonar Systems (Code 15) with comprehensive business operations support services.

THOR provides the full range of Program Management, Business and Financial Management (BFM), Media Center, Website, Library, Program Documentation Development, Program Database Development and Update, Information Technology/Information Assurance, Laboratories and Equipment Configuration and Administrative support services. 

THOR supports Code 15’s mission to provide Research Development Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), engineering analysis, assessment and fleet support for submarines, autonomous underwater systems and undersea weapon systems across 10 locations, worldwide. 

THOR assists Code 15 in serving as a steward for existing and emerging undersea warfare technologies and its mission to apply innovative science and sonar systems engineering to undersea warfare capabilities of submarine and surface forces. 

THOR works closely with more than a dozen stakeholder organizations spanning across the US Navy’s Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), Program Executive Office Submarines (PEO Subs), Program Executive Office Littoral Combat Ship (PEO LCS), Program Executive Office Ships (PEO Ships), US Fleet Forces Command (USFFC), the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) as well as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), US Army, and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). 

THOR supports NWUCDIVNPT Code 15 on site in Newport, RI and from contractor facilities in Middletown, RI. Of note, THOR’s support to NWUCDIVNPT also includes programmatic and training support for the NUWC Combat Systems Department (Code 25).
