THOR provides the US Navy’s Commander Naval Surface Forces Atlantic (CNSL) with programmatic, engineering, technical, and training support for 60+ ships, as well as special mission and fleet support units and a client organization with 25,000 personnel in the continental US (CONUS), homeported overseas and forward deployed in areas that range from the North Sea in the Atlantic Ocean to the Persian Gulf and the North Arabian Sea. 

THOR’s support to the Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA) program includes training development for both TSRA and other material assessments. THOR’s support to US Navy Surface Type Commanders includes both CNSL and Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP) for Engineering Readiness Assistance Team (ERAT) and Combat Systems Readiness Assistance Team (CSRAT) requirements on both coasts.

Further to these efforts THOR provides CNSL with environmental engineering and technical support for shipboard Motor Gas (MOGAS) systems. THOR’s support of MOGAS includes Cargo Fuel Operational Sequencing System (CFOSS) documentation verification, MOGAS system on-site operational training, MOGAS Storage, Transfer, Service, Inerting, Seawater and Safety Systems inspection, assist of Ships Force in safe MOGAS on-load and off-load, MOGAS systems tests and ship/shore interface control. 

THOR works across the domain with stakeholders ranging from CNSL to Port Engineers, Mid Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC), Forward Deployed Regional Maintenance Centers (FDRMCs), Commander Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC), and Naval Surface Warfare Centers (NSWC). Support is primarily provided in Norfolk, VA and Mayport, FL.
