THOR provides the US Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWC PD) Propulsion and Power Systems Division (Code 40) Steam and Diesel Electrical Power Automation, Generation, and Distribution Branch (Code 442) with support for programs lead by Program Executive Officer Submarines (PEO Subs), Program Executive Office Carriers (PEO Carriers), Program Executive Office Littoral Combat Ship (PEO LCS), Program Executive Office Ships (PEO Ships), the Surface Warfare Directorate (SEA 21), and the Naval Systems Engineering Directorate (SEA 05). THOR’s efforts include Program Management, Business and Financial (BFM), Multidisciplinary Engineering and Technical Support including electrical power system generation, transmission, fault tolerant conversion and autonomous intelligent control, Cyber Security Support, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and Fleet/Waterfront Support to assist NSWC PD in executing assigned mission requirements pertaining to US Navy Submarine, Carrier, and Surface Ship readiness, sustainment, and life cycle management, as well as related requirements for the Military Sealift Command (MSC), US Coast Guard, and US Army watercraft. THOR supports the Virginia and Ohio Class Submarine Programs, Nimitz Class Carriers, and all classes of US Navy surface combatants and amphibious warships on this program. THOR also supports several MSC ships, including the USNS Mercy and USNS Comfort, US Coast Guard Polar Icebreaker (PIB) requirements, as well as US Army watercraft programs such as the Maneuver Support Vessel (MSV). Performance locations for this requirement include: Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, Norfolk, VA, San Diego, CA, Panama City, FL, Pascagoula, MS, Marinette, WI, Detroit, MI, Mayport, FL, Pearl Harbor, HI, Bremerton, WA, Japan, Bahrain, Spain, Italy, the Philippines, and Singapore. Of note, THOR’s support to NSWC PD also includes programmatic, engineering, and technical support for Navigation, Ships Controls, and Integrated Bridge Systems, as well as Machinery Control Systems.
